Ruth is the third generation of printers in her family. She makes beautiful blue prints using the Victorian printing tradition of cyanotype
Over the past nine years Ruth has worked as a part-time tutor with a broad cross section of adult learners in a variety of Community and Further Education establishments, delivering a selection of courses based around Visual Literacy and Art History. She has worked on creative projects in the U.K and Europe, and has shown work in a range of settings.
Ruth completed her MA in Contextual Art in 2005 working predominantly in photography and installation. Printmaking is a relatively new area of exploration in her creative practice, however it has always been an influence on her work as both her father and grandfather were Printers. She is currently producing images using Cyanotype, a Victorian printing technique. Ruth works from a small home studio and is based in Monmouthshire.
