Beca created our edible garden
Beca designed and planted our edible garden and teaches our edible gardening course. Since discovering permaculture & forest gardening 8 years ago, Beca has broken free of ‘traditional’ gardening methods and experimented with new techniques for growing, embracing the permaculture aims of reducing labour input and increasing produce, whilst building a healthy soil and protecting wildlife. No-dig beds; regular mulching and choosing the right plants are just some of the methods Beca uses.
Beca enjoys helping people try new crops and grow more food without turning their garden into an allotment. Under the name ‘Rootle and Sprout’, Beca sells plants and produce as well as producing designs for and building edible gardens for others, using methods that work with nature.
