Kate Humble holding a chicken
25 Aug

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back to the farm for courses. The information below explains the changes we have made as a result of Coronavirus. We hope that it will re-assure you about your course and answer any queries you may have.

If you have a question that is not answered below, then please do not hesitate to get in touch at: info@humblebynature.com.

We are based in Wales and are following Welsh government guidance. If you are visiting from another part of the UK, please familiarise yourself with Welsh guidelines.  We will be reviewing our processes regularly, and will update them in line new government guidance.

Changes to our courses:

We have reduced the capacity of all our courses to allow for social distancing.

We have spoken in detail to all our tutors about changes to courses, including:

  • Individual work-stations and equipment.
  • Maintaining social distancing inside and outside.
  • Hands-on tasks: after demonstration, tutors will invite course participants to take part in a task one at a time, while observing distancing guidelines.
  • Animal handling – as always, it is up to you how hands-on you want to get with our animals. If you feel more comfortable watching than handling then that’s fine with us.

Moving around the farm

When you arrive at the farm you will see signage to help guide you to your course and around our teaching barn. Where possible, we will use one-way systems to allow distancing.

Some of the one way systems may involve walking around the outside of the building. We would suggest bringing a waterproof coat in case of bad weather.

Hygiene

As a working farm, hygiene and hand-washing have always been our top priority.

  • We will continue to ask you to wash your hands before and after any activity, before and after eating and before leaving the farm.
  • We will have hand sanitiser available for your use.
  • We will clean our teaching spaces and equipment before and after any event.

Wearing masks

Please bring a mask and wear it while inside.

Please let us know in advance if you are unable to wear a mask, or if you have any hearing or other relevant issues. We will treat this information confidentially.

Your Booking

Our usual T&Cs apply to all bookings. Please review them here.

If you have Covid symptoms or have been advised to isolate, please contact us and do NOT visit the farm. This is vital for the safety of all our guests and the farm team.

If we have to close, or are unable to run your course on the scheduled date, due to an outbreak of coronavirus or government measures, we will:

  • Move your booking to a rescheduled course date, or an alternative course (to the same value).
  • Issue a gift voucher to the amount of your course booking (valid to make bookings for one year from issue).

We look forward to welcoming you back to the farm and hope that we have answered any queries you may have.

If you have any other queries, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with the team at: info@humblebynature.com.
