Saddleback sow at Humble by Nature Kate Humble's farm
2 Feb

We’ve got two new arrivals on the farm: a beautiful Saddleback sow and gilt.

You can spot a Saddleback by their continuous white belt around their shoulders & forelegs. It’s a relatively new breed, created in the late ’60s by combining the Essex & Wessex pig breeds. They have a friendly temperament & are a great pig to get started with.

We think they’ll be the stars of the show on our Pigs for Beginners & Smallholding for Beginners courses!
