Low Willow Hurdles & Pea Frames

Learn how to weave low willow garden hurdles and pea frames in this hands-on willow weaving course.
In this course you’ll weave a low garden hurdle – great for edging and adding structure around your garden, and a tall pea frame – perfect for supporting your Sweet Peas and other climbing plants. These wonderful sculptural plant supports will add structure to your garden in a rustic and natural way.
You’ll leave with the skills to make these at home again and again. Amanda will guide you through the process of weaving your garden structures: showing you what to do at each stage and giving you as much help as you need. This willow weaving course is suitable for complete beginners and those who have done some willow weaving before.
Amanda will explain the basic techniques of willow weaving before you get started.
Watch Amanda's demonstration then it's time to select your willow rods and start weaving your pea frame. You can have as much or as little help as you need.
After Amanda's demonstration you'll get started on your garden hurdles.
The course will finish with tea and cake and the opportunity to ask any further questions.
This Willow Hurdles & Pea Frames course will run from 10am until 4pm and includes a delicious farm lunch.
We’ll provide all the materials for this course and at the end of the day you’ll take home your pea frame and plant support.
Don’t forget to check that you can fit your pea frame in your car on the way home!
