Weave a Willow Pheasant or Chicken

Learn how to weave a willow pheasant or willow chicken with Wyldwood Willow. These fabulous willow sculptures will look great inside, or outside in the garden.
Manda will guide you through the techniques of weaving your pheasant or chicken, breaking it down into manageable step by step stages. You’ll start with the framework of the body before adding the head before filling it in, then you’ll adding the finishing touches or ears, feathers and tails. Manda will be on hand to give you as much, or as little, help as you need.
This course is great for both beginners and anyone who has tried willow weaving before.
Manda will explain the basic techniques of willow weaving and the steps involved in creating a willow pheasant or willow chicken.
Amanda will demonstrate each stage then you'll select your willow and start weaving. You can have as much or as little help as you need.
After you've created the main framework for the body and head of your sculpture, you'll start filling it in and then get onto the details that will really give it character like the feathers and tail.
The course will finish with tea and cake and the opportunity to ask any further questions.
