Places to Stay

Escape the hustle and bustle

Stay on Kate Humble’s farm in Monmouthshire or her Poacher’s Cabin in France and get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

When you visit Humble by Nature you’ll wake up to the sounds of animals right at the heart of a real working farm.

Choose from: The Piggery – a cosy two-bed cottage that’s great for families or couples; or The Hayloft – a studio flat for two at the heart of the farm. Don’t forget to bring your walking boots so you can enjoy the many miles of stunning scenery in the Wye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Spend your days swimming in the lake or walking in the woods at Poachers Cabin in the Dordogne, France. This beautifully restored fishing cabin is tucked away in the woods with its own private lake and is perfect for two.

The Piggery

Wake up at the heart of Kate's working farm when you stay in The Piggery. Part of the original farmhouse, this cosy cottage sleeps four and looks across the fields with sheep, cows and horses. Ideally situated for exploring the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, there’s plenty to do in the area for guests big and small.

The Hayloft

Get a real feel for farm life by staying in the old Hayloft. Positioned at the heart of the farm on the upper floor of our Long Barn, the beautifully restored Hayloft is an ideal getaway whether you're taking part in a course or just fancy a break in the beautiful Monmouthshire countryside.

Walk up the original stone steps of the c.18th barn to the Hayloft and admire the beautiful views across the fields. The apartment is bright, airy and perfect for two, a travel cot and blow up bed are available for smaller visitors on request. At the bottom of the stairs there’s a small garden looking across the fields with hand-made table and benches, perfect for breakfast and watching the lambs.

Poachers Cabin, France

Poacher's Cabin is a beautifully restored fishing cabin nestled in the woods at the edge of it's own private lake.

You're sure to discover why Kate and her husband Ludo fell in love with this tumbledown fishing shack on their holiday wanderings. Spend your days lazing by the lake, walking in the woods or visit the local market. When the lights go down you can turn on the tea-light chandelier (made from twinkly glass yoghurt pots) and cosy up on the sofa with a book from the library.
