Leave the rat race... and join the raft race!
Hilarious charity fund-raising raft race, in home-made raft-like contraptions. The rickety vessels race down six and a half miles of the beautiful River Wye. Organised by the Rotary Club of Monmouth in aid of St David's Foundation Hospice Care.
An afternoon of fun and frolics on the river, starting at midday at Monmouth Rowing Club (just off the A40 at Monmouth), the race is paddled over 6.5 miles down the beautiful River Wye to the finish at Tump Farm, Whitebrook, (courtesy of the Cullimore Family) where there is a Family Festival of entertainment and ample refreshment opportunities.
