ALL ABOUT TREES: An Introduction to Identification and Planting

Do you struggle to tell your ash from your elder? Do you need to tame your wild cherry? Our tree specialist Phil Webb has been responsible for planting about 5 million trees in his career, and he will guide you through the process of planning and planting native trees.

We are adding 2,000 trees to the farm, and in this course you will take an active part in that process. Following an indoor session learning some of the basics, you will then go out on a 'tree safari' to identify some important species. After a delicious Kather’s Kitchen lunch, you will then get your hands thoroughly dirty as you get stuck in to the task of planting and protecting trees.

We are running this course in association with the Woodland Trust.
