BAAA NECESSITIES: Introduction to Keeping Sheep
A beginners's guide to buying and keeping happy & healthy sheep.
Our farmer Tim Stephens has worked with sheep all his life and has a wealth of knowledge about all things ovine. We have a variety of sheep in our special smallholding areas - including Jacobs, Badger-Face and Horn Dorsets - as well as Tim's own commercial flock of 200 Welsh mountain sheep (there'll be plenty of lambs around as well) on the farm.
You will learn everything from choosing a breed, how much land you need, shelters, feeding & keeping them healthy, to practical matters like dealing with flystrike and trimming feet. Join us for a thoroughly practical, informative and fun day learning about how you too can start keeping sheep.
