The perfect, off-grid, romantic getaway for two
Sarah will explain relief printing, demonstrating with her own work. She’ll then guide you with your ideas or chosen design, helping you draw your design and then cut it in relief on the lino.
Once you’ve finished your design and cut it on the lino it’s time to choose your ink and get printing. Try Sarah’s antique press to create your cards, they might not be perfect first time but that’s the joy of the process.
We’ll eat a delicious home-made lunch in the barn. This is a lovely opportunity to discuss ideas, techniques, get to know your fellow course members and enjoy some great local food.
After lunch you’ll use a variety of household items from potato mashers to cotton reels to create unique wrapping paper, perfect for all your Christmas gifts.
We’ll finish the day with a cup of tea, some well deserved treats and the opportunity to ask any further questions.
Course dates are yet to be confirmed but you can register your interest now by submitting our online enquiry form. As soon as dates are released we will be sure to notify you.
It's time to add the creative touch to your Christmas preparations and make your own greetings cards and paper.
Sarah Edmonds will help you explore the art of lino relief-printing through designing, cutting and hand printing your image onto an array of cards. You’ll also have the chance to create your own wrapping paper and tags, using common household objects to stamp and create a unique design.
At the end of the class you'll come away with a set of ten cards or prints and wrapping paper to delight friends and family over the festive period.
This is a hands-on printing course, no previous experience is necessary.
