Bees for Development
Bees for Development's main work is assisting beekeepers living in poor and remote areas of the world - lifting them out of poverty through beekeeping. They are a charity who work with community groups and associations, raising the profile of apiculture to ensure a sustainable future for bees, people and the environment.
They also do great work with bee-keepers - and would-be bee-keepers - in the UK, so this is your chance to get up close and personal with a hive full of honey bees. If you've never experienced it before, it's something you'll never forget.
Their courses are an introduction to alternative, more sustainable approaches to beekeeping, with a focus on the UK.
Suitable for those with no previous knowledge of beekeeping.
